Lumisan turns a photograph into light. This page is where to write if something does not work, and it answers the questions that come up most.
Everything you edit stays on your device. No picture is ever uploaded, which also means there is nothing on our side to look at — so the more you can tell us, the better.
Contact
Write to us through the support form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdM_fZ4FREjGE0ij70A__HH64O32QDH7SoUtxcqk-0I1BW_0g/viewform — in English or Japanese. It asks for your iPhone model, your iOS version and the version of Lumisan shown in Settings › About; those three answer most questions before we have to ask.
Replies come from one person and go to the address you give on the form, so they are not instant. Every message is read.
What it runs on
iPhone with iOS 17.0 or later. The editor draws with Metal, so a device whose graphics support is unavailable will say so on launch rather than start.
iPad and Mac are not supported in this version. The screen is laid out for one size and stretching it would not be the same app.
PRO
PRO is a single purchase, not a subscription. Once bought it stays, and it is available on any device signed in with the same Apple Account.
- Reinstalled the app, or moved to a new iPhone? Open Settings in Lumisan and tap Restore purchases. Signing in with the Apple Account used for the purchase is what makes it work.
- Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us: reportaproblem.apple.com.
Common questions
- Nothing glows. In the Range tab, widen Glow area — drag it to the right until the light appears. If the picture is line art on white paper, switch to By color and pick the color of the lines with the eyedropper.
- The picture blows out to white. In the Light tab, turn Glow down. Patterns need less light than plain glow does — the finer the pattern, the sooner it whites out.
- The pattern disappears. The bloom is blurring it away. Choosing a pattern already reins the bloom in, but if it still dissolves, bring Bloom width (PRO) down to 0.3–0.4.
- It will not save to Photos. iOS asks for permission the first time. If it was declined, turn it back on in Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos. The share button can send the picture elsewhere without that permission.
- A bigger export size is greyed out. An export is never larger than the photo you opened. The long side of that photo is the ceiling, and 4096 px is the ceiling above that.
- The last edit is gone. Settings › Editing keeps the picture you were working on so it can be restored next launch. It is kept on this device only and goes when the app is deleted.
